Mr. Burke is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the California Board of Accountancy who serves as a Technical Consultant at GP. With over 15 years’ experience, he has worked as an Auditor, Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Fund Accountant and other positions in Jamaica, USA and the Cayman Islands. He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and has the designation Certified in Competitive Strategy and Competitive Advantage (CSCA) and is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

Mr. Burke’s MBA thesis entitled “Jamaica’s Readiness to Become an Offshore Financial Centre” explored how diversification, including offering financial services, could impact GDP. Various frameworks were examined to specifically identify national and global trends. Significant analyses and comparisons were made between Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, along with other regional players, especially in the Financial Services Sector. Banking and Financial Services underlying Basel I & II, Anti-Money Laundering, Taxation, Proceeds of Crime (POCA) legislation, Know Your Customer (KYC) and other principles and regulations were thoroughly examined throughout this research in deriving objective conclusions and recommendations for future work.

Mr. Burke’s work experience encompassed entities such as the Royal Cayman Islands Police Department, the Health Services Authority, the NYC Department of Housing, the Fire Department, Parks and Recreation, and Various Charities, Section 8 Audits and other Federal and State-Funded Programs. In the Financial Services Sector, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of New York and Solomon Smith Barney, UBS and others.
