Experience Summary
Ms. Vashanti Raymond is currently a Technical Consultant in Growth Perspectives Limited’s Innovation Enabling Practice. She is an Applications Developer with over fifteen (15) years of combined experience in developing web and android applications. Aside from consulting with private firms, Ms. Raymond spent eight (8) of those years as a Graduate Teacher of Information Technology (IT) and Programming before transitioning into running workshops for Code Camp Caraibe in Dominica, her home country. In the latter role, Ms. Raymond trained, and still trains, youth and professionals in various coding languages for the development of web, android, and microcontroller projects as well as on project design.
Ms. Raymond is passionate about helping to increase the pool of females who enter and excel in the technology sector within Dominica and the wider Caribbean. She is also a nature enthusiast who is passionate about developing computer software and web-based solutions for organizations. Ms. Raymond is keen on helping GPL’s clients to solve complex problems and improve their efficiency, efficacy, and competitiveness in market and non-market environments.
Qualification Summary
Ms. Raymond holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, USA. While at university, she was a programmer on her Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Chapter’s Robotics team between 2007 to 2009. Ms. Raymond was also a volunteer and mentor at Kansas City’s First Robotics Competitions from 2007 to 2010.
Availability for Consultancy
Ms. Raymond is available to help firms and governments develop and execute their digitization and digital transformation strategies. In particular, she will assist with the development of android applications, microcontroller projects, and project design. She is also available to help firms develop computer software and web-based solutions.
